My Dad and I went on a 7 day cruise, on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, for the Meetup for my first URComped trip in January 2026. Skyler was our host and boy did I have a blast!! I got $1000 in Free Play from UR Comped. They gave me $150 just for signing up, then I won $150 on the Facebook live event. Then, having never played card games, I decided to join the no buy in URComped blackjack tournament and won the whole thing. Got $500 for that. Then… I had my name pulled during the hot seats and got another $200. $1000 all together and it was all because I went with URComped. The only downside was that you don’t accumulate points for the players club on free play, so I fear that may prevent me from receiving another offer. But we did get my dad up to Silver, so he’ll get an offer and I’ll just have to go back with him to get my points up. Aside from URComped, I couldn’t have had a better time. Margaritaville at Sea, even though it’s a new company, is a real gem. The Islander is a beautiful classic ship that Margaritaville saved from the scrap yard and did a $150 million dollar renovation to rival some of the competitions older boats. I had just come off the Norwegian Jade for New Years and jumped right aboard the Islander after. The Jade looked terrible in comparison to the Islander. And it was pretty clear that NCL stole the Islanders Conky Tonkin shoe idea. Because both boats did almost the same show, but the Islander version had more performers, better stage, better musicians and a pretty good vocal section. The lead male singer came off very “theatrical” rather than delivering a star power performance, like the male lead on the Norwegian boat. But I find that’s typical of male performers. The girls however stole the show. They could compete with some of my best contestants on The Voice. The Captain, a young Greek man, was an excellent captain, entertainer, and was funny as hell. He really made it seem like a more fun ship.
