Had fun despite the typhoon
Was on Discovery Princess from Seattle to Alaska and then on to Tokyo. It was a bit rough due to a nearby typhoon but enjoyed the casino. The largest area of the casino is smoking and yes you can definitely smell it even when people are not in there actively smoking but it was tolerable. All of the table games and the host and the cashier and the majority of the slots are in the smoking section. There is an area outside of the main casino which is the non smoking area and there is a closing door between them so the non smoking area does not smell like smoke. There is the bar here and about 40 or so slot machines I'd say. Since this was a 15 day cruise I had to earn 8000 points for a comped interior room. I ended up the trip with about 9000 points. That was with small minimum slot bets varying with larger bets as I won. No hand pays that trip but multiple under 300 dollar wins.
